We are currently looking for BESS Expert.
Responsibilities
• Acting as a technical expert in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and leading BESS-related engineering projects.
• Reviewing load profiles and simulating energy storage systems to optimize performance and meet project goals.
• Designing battery storage solutions, including container, cabinet, and building-based systems.
• Developing electrical documentation such as single-line and three-line diagrams.
• Modelling BESS performance, including battery lifetime, degradation, and operational strategies.
• Coordinating integration of BMS, EMS and SCADA systems with external technology providers.
• Preparing technical specifications, engineering studies, and project documentation.
• Supporting grid connection processes and cooperating with DSOs/OPSs to obtain connection conditions.
• Conducting technical due diligence and assessing risks for BESS and renewable energy projects.
• Supporting development of hybrid renewable systems combining solar, wind, and energy storage.
• Maintaining knowledge of battery technologies, power conversion systems, and industry standards.
Requirements
Univ. degree in Electrical Eng.
Minimum 3 years experience in BESS design, modelling, or project development.
Strong knowledge of battery technologies and chemistries (e.g., Li-ion) and energy storage applications.
Experience with energy system modelling and performance simulation.
Knowledge of grid integration and renewable energy systems (solar, wind, hybrid systems).
Understanding of battery management systems (BMS), energy management systems (EMS), and SCADA integration.
Familiarity with bi-directional inverters and power conversion systems.
Fluent English
